If you have no subsequent criminal history, misdemeanor case dismissals or acquittals that are at least 2 years old can be expunged from your record. The time requirement for felony charges is longer and varies depending on the seriousness of the charge.

The right to expunge does not apply to Deferred Adjudication dismissals. However, a dismissal after Deferred Adjudication probation can be "sealed" to protect you from anyone but law enforcement being able to view them. In these cases, our firm can file a petition for non-disclosure on your behalf and get this process started right away.
